This ministry provides support to family and friends at a time of loss by providing refreshments for the family and friends of a deceased love one at a service reception. The deacons and volunteers who coordinate this ministry strive to show love and concern for those experiencing loss.

Benevolence

The Benevolence Committee serves the needs of WCPC church members and the surrounding community by reviewing and recommending requests for assistance. Through the support of the congregation this committee is able to offer modest aid for people in financial crisis by providing financial aid and counseling. Assistance is provided for individual temporary relief, such as food, housing, or similar basic needs.

Lay Chaplains

These dedicated volunteers visit members of the church community who may be in local hospitals.

Visitation

The visitation team help to keep church members who are either homebound or living in a convalescent home connected the larger church community by visiting them, calling on the phone or writing cards.

Prayer Chain

This ministry coordinates and prays over prayer requests from wherever they come – whether in person, on the phone, or through email.

Hammer-James Ministry

These handy folks work on projects for the elderly, handicapped or those unable to pay for vital repair services – whether it’s fixing a sliding glass door, repairing a yard sprinkler system or installing a kitchen faucet.

V.I.P.’s Monthly Luncheon Program

This ministry provides a monthly luncheon and program for WCPRES seniors. The program includes a time of fellowship, devotion, a wonderful meal along with a guest speaker, musical guest or other type of entertainment.
