INFO:
What is Ash Wednesday? This is a traditional church holiday marking the beginning of Lent, a season of preparing our hearts for Good Friday and Easter, when we celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus. The idea of Ash Wednesday is to remember our need for God: we are just mortals, and without life from God, we would just be like dirt or ash. So, it's a worship gathering with a bit more of a serious tone than usual. But remembering this sober truth reminds us just how great it is that God offers us new life, even eternal life, through Jesus.
