If you wander around campus on Sunday and hear some people having a good time, chances are it’s the kids in Middle School Ministries! This group fosters God’s joy into a fun-loving family that doesn’t shy away from exploring tough questions and God’s mysterious ways.
Middle School Ministries is a welcoming and open community for incoming 6th to outgoing 8th graders to build lasting relationships that help them wrestle with the difficult challenges they face. Middle school often brings with it a search for identity and an aching need for belonging, and our goal is to help students encounter both through experiencing God, his Word, and his community.
We also help students explore their servant hearts and share God’s community with others through mission trips and community projects that harness their joyful energies and caring compassion. We meet Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.
Parents: register your student for 2018-2019 by filling out a Student Participation Form. For students to participate in any WCPres activity, we must have a current form on file with parent/guardian signatures.
Students attend the worship session with the larger WCPres family. Middle School Ministries also offers a discussion-based curriculum during the second hour as a safe and caring environment to actively engage with their faith.
On Wednesdays we will all meet at 6pm for dinner, then Middle School and High School will go up to 209 to begin program. Initially, the students will be combined for an up-front game and worship, before we dismiss the Middle Schoolers to 202 to continue their program with age-specific teaching and discussion.
