In person worship services have been suspended for Sunday March 15, 22 and 29. Please join us online this Sunday as Pastor Bart shares the message via video. In the weeks to come we will be hosting an entire worship service online, complete with worship through prayer, scripture, teaching, and music.
45 minute Zoom call
If you are on the front lines of health care during this pandemic, and need a safe space to process, listen, talk, cry, share resources, and to be prayed for, then please join Pastor Bart on this weekly ZOOM call. He will share a short reflection from Christian Scripture, pray for you, and facilitate the conversation. Join us at 10:30 immediately following the WCPres worship service.

The first work of the Christian is prayer. God has given us direct access via Christ’s work and the Holy Spirit’s prompting to enter into the throneroom of the cosmos in freedom and with confidence. Let us take our anxieties, worries--all of our cares--to the Lord in Prayer. If you have particular prayer needs or requests please submit them so your deacons and pastors and elders can be praying for you in this season.
10% of all giving collected at this time will be set aside to support those most affected by COVID-19 in our community. We will be announcing the total and direction of those gifts at a later date once we better discern how best to help our community and those most greatly affected.
If you or someone in our congregation you know are part of a high risk demographic and need assistance with groceries, please let us know. If you would like to be a part of this ministry, you can also use the button to the right to let us know.
We recognize that prayer in community together is a heartbeat at Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church. In the coming weeks, as we practice physical distancing and remain severely limited in our interactions, the pastors want to keep us praying together. We plan to host three thirty minute prayer sessions every week for as long as we must remain socially isolated. We will “gather” to pray each Monday evening, Wednesdays at noon, and Thursday mornings. We will be using ZOOM as our meeting platform. If you don't have an account with ZOOM, you can create one now. When you are ready to join a prayer meeting, come back to this page and click the link for the meeting of your choice. Having problems? Email firstname.lastname@example.org.
When we “gather” to pray together one of our pastors will lead us through the Daily Prayers found in the Daily Prayer App. You can download this app for your android or apple device. It is easy to use and we will walk you through it during each prayer session. If you are unable to download or use the App you will still be able to follow along.
Paul offers these wise words to the Church at Philippi and we will make it our ground note prayer over these coming weeks: "Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6,7).
Church is not canceled because we are the church!
Our love and good deeds will demonstrate to our friends, neighbors, and coworkers that we have a hope that runs deeper than the uncertainty of this moment. We believe in a resurrected God and will serve him to the very end.
