Our Middle School Ministry hopes to lay the foundations for taking life, faith, and friendship seriously. Through fun games, bonding time, and intentional teaching, we want our students to ask good questions, learn to think critically, and build deep bonds between each other.
The Harbor Middle School consists of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who come together twice a week. We meet on Wednesdays from 7:00pm to 8:30pm and Sundays from 11:00am to 12:00pm. All of our events are centered around 3 different things, to Draw, Deepen, and Do.
Drawing students in means creating a fun and welcoming space that anyone would feel comfortable joining. Deepening means approaching challenging questions, learning about God and the Bible, and confronting our own thoughts, doubts, and ideas. Doing means we provide opportunities for service within our own church and local community.
We love our Middle School students, and hope that we have the chance to meet yours as well! The best way to get plugged in is to join us on a Wednesday night, we have leaders that can’t wait to meet you! If you have any questions feel free to contact Matt via email or over the phone. We would love to talk to you about our ministry.
Parents: register your student for 2019-2020 by filling out a Student Participation Form. For students to participate in any WCPres activity, we must have a current form on file with parent/guardian signatures.
After the WCPres main service (9:30 AM) all of our students gather together in our Youth Rooms for hangout, fellowship, and organized game time. There are opportunities to discuss the Sermon from that morning, and once a month we have a “Deeper Questions” series, where we discuss some of the common questions about Christianity.
On Wednesdays we gather together to welcome all students and transition to the games for that night. From there, we move into an intentional time of reflection/worship and then a leader will give a Bible based teaching. The evening ends with small groups, where students are put together with their grade groups to talk about life and the teaching.
